About Turkey Hill Stables?

Turkey Hill Stables was founded by Heather Marsh, a life long veteran of riding horses. Heather has been riding horses since the age of 8, when she soon became involved in fox hunting. Heather grew up in Rappahannock County and has been involved in training and running stables since 1992. Heather has over 20 years of experience, as she's been training horses and riders since the age of 25. She began her official career with horses after returning from Providence, Rhode Island, where she went to college. Heather has worked for various stables in Virginia's hunt country, as well as managing barns for prior employers.

Turkey Hill Stables boasts access to over 10,000 acres of riding lands that are permeated with fabulous trails. We also have an indoor training arena as well as two outdoor rings.

Turkey Hill Stables is perfect for anyone who wants to learn to ride or just get away from the city and see the Blue Ridge Mountain trails first hand. Hiking the trails is nice, but seeing it all from horse back is incomparable. Plus the amount of distance of travel and scenery that can be taken in is far greater on a horse.

Turkey Hill Stables is a premier riding facility in the scenic foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Located in Rappahannock County, within hacking distance of the Thornton Hill Hounds, and within an hour drive of eight (8) of Virginia finest fox hunts.
